Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya looked excited as he shook hands with President William Ruto, who questioned him about the condition of his hair, which has been the MP's signature look.
The exchange happened during the head of state's visit to Kakamega to start the Kakamega County International Investment Conference.

Salasya was among the National Assembly, and Senate members lined up to receive the President.
As the President extended his hand to welcome the very enthusiastic lawmaker, Salasya looked to be putting on a show, gazing directly at the camera. As he gazed up at Salaysa, the President maintained a firm grip and inquired about his well-being.
"Mbona hujachanua nywele?" Ruto then asked, gesturing at Salaysa's head.
"Ukisema nitachanua," the controversial MP replied as the entire entourage burst into laughter.
The four-day event will see the county, led by Governor Fernandes Barasa, sign Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with various investors.
The Masinde Muliro University event is titled 'Opening up Counties as New Frontiers for Investment and Development.'
