Charity Mwamba's Career

Elizabeth Wanjiru who is known by her stage name 'Charity Mwamba', kickstarted her career as a performer during her time at Alliance Girls, eventually gaining recognition for her portrayal as a mother-in-law. Charity, who has since retired from teaching, made her mark in the entertainment industry.  Charitiy Mwamba also known as shosh is a graduate of the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Arts degree, also holds a postgraduate diploma.

When the program "Mother in Law" debuted on Citizen TV in 2008, it quickly became a resounding success. Viewers eagerly awaited Sundays to tune in and follow the captivating storyline. For 12 years, the show has continued to enthrall audiences with its intriguing twists and turns.

Charity Mwamba's Marriage 

Elizabeth Wanjiru parted ways with her Ugandan husband in the 1980s. Her husband, Shem Bageine, who served as the Ugandan Minister of State in East African Affairs, abandoned her in 1981 after 13 years of marriage.



Shosh embarked on her acting journey during her time at Alliance Girls High School. With a commanding stage presence and undeniable talent, her prowess as an actress shines brightly.

Charity Mwamba's Family

Both of her parents are deceased. Elizabeth Wanjiru was born into a large family of 12 siblings. Tragically, ten of her siblings have also passed away. The loss of so many siblings deeply affected the actress, with the deaths occurring over a span of approximately ten years.
