At least eight Ugandan group Crane Performers were detained for reportedly disrespecting President Yoweri Museveni at a speech at a hotel in Kampala celebrating Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi's wedding anniversary.
The eight musicians who attended the same event as Museveni claimed to have complained that the Ugandan president was speaking too much and should stop.
According to the Monitor, the eight wore mics when they spoke, picked up by the hotel's sound system and heard by most attendees.
