During his weekend concert, Diamond surprised the audience by inviting Sarah on stage. He revealed that their romance began before his rise to fame and acknowledged her as the inspiration behind his hit song, 'Kamwambie'.
"I wrote this song from a deeply personal experience. There’s a lady I hold dear, and I saw her here; her name is Sarah. She is the very reason I sang ‘Kamwambie’," he wrote.
Although they parted ways, with Sarah now having her own family, the connection they shared remains significant to him.
Looking back on their history, Diamond compared Sarah to a figure of Beyoncé’s stature.
"At the time, she was young. She is shy, you know she has a family right now, this is Sarah. I used to love her so much. At the time, I used to look at her like she was Beyoncé; she drove me crazy. She character developed me, I wrote this because of her," the singer said.
Later, Sarah spoke to the public via local media, confirming her amicable relationship with Diamond and dispelling any rumors of hardship.
"I am a businesswoman; I sell clothes. My relationship with Naseeb (Diamond) is positive. Contrary to what some might say, I’m not in distress; my family and I are thriving. Diamond and I are on good terms. Despite what some suggest, we are not adversaries; we part ways amicably whenever we meet. Our separation was amicable,” she clarified.
