A CNN video reportedly shows Sean Combs, also known as "Diddy," allegedly shoving, tugging, and kicking Cassie Ventura during an argument. The footage, captured by a security camera at the now-demolished InterContinental Hotel in Century City on March 5, 2016, was obtained by CNN.
In the video, Cassie can be seen aimlessly pacing the hotel halls, seemingly unable to find the escalator. Diddy, with a towel slung around his waist, sprints after her. He kicks her in the stomach, attempting to beat her, and then unsuccessfully tries to drag her back to their room.

A 2016 video shows Sean "Diddy" Combs assaulting then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura during an altercation that aligns with allegations made in a now-settled lawsuit. Later in the footage, Cassie attempts to use the hotel phone to make a call. Diddy then appears in the lobby and, seemingly mistaking someone for Cassie, throws what looks like a vase at an off-camera individual.
"In March 2016, during a meeting at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, he became extremely drunk and assaulted Cassie." This statement from Cassie's complaint is in line with what she says in the video.
Cassie attempted to flee, and upon seeing he was fast asleep, she departed from the room. However, he awoke, began yelling at her, and pursued her into the hotel hallway."
The plaintiff, claiming he had "grabbed" her, fled towards the escalator while he threw broken glass vases from the corridor at her.
In her initial lawsuit, she detailed numerous claims of abuse and unlawful behavior, which ultimately led to a settlement.
