The grassroots elections for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party have concluded in Narok, with Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu's team emerging victorious.

Ntutu won the chairmanship with 516 delegates, while his rival, Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo, received only 84.

Speaking at Ntutu's home, where delegates from across the county had gathered to celebrate the victory, Narok County Assembly Majority Leader Sonkoi Ole Lemein, who read the official results, thanked participants for a smooth exercise.

Ntutu won votes in areas of the East and North that were perceived as opposition zones.

Governor Ntutu, who thanked the electorate for voting in all 30 wards for him, assured that party primaries in the remaining counties can be held under President William Ruto.

"I extend an olive branch to all Members of UDA in Narok, inviting them to join hands with us as we move forward. Together, we can build a stronger, more cohesive UDA Party," he said in a post on X.
