In season two of The Last of Us, Academy Award nominee Jeffrey Wright will play the live-action adaptation of Isaac, the character he voiced in the video game series. Isaac is the leader of the Washington Liberation Front, a militia organization founded to defend liberty but currently engaged in a different conflict in the aftermath of Clicker.

Deadline claims that Wright is one of many recent cast members to join the group. Along with returning stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, the second season will include Gabriel Luna, Isabela Merced, Young Mazino, Kaitlyn Dever, and Catherine O'Hara. It was also rumored that Tati Gabrielle would be joining the cast.

The show's creators, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, are thrilled to honor the fans of both the live-action television shows and the video games. They have made a clever move by bringing in the voice actors from the respective games, a decision that is sure to resonate with the audience. This includes the return of Merle Dandridge, who brilliantly portrayed Marlene in the first season of the show.

"Some of the things I'm most excited for [in Part 2] are the changes we've discussed and seeing the story come to life again in this other version," Druckmann shared in an interview with GQ, expressing his enthusiasm for The Last of Us Part II. The show's creators are tapping into your game-related emotions in a novel way, promising an exciting and immersive experience. They have also revealed that the Last of Us Part II's plot will unfold over multiple seasons, adding to the anticipation and engagement of the audience.
