Meg won the feud in many ways.

Even though Megan Thee Stallion is among the most well-known rappers in the world, her rise to fame hasn't been challenging. A protracted legal dispute with Torey Lanez accompanied her ascent to fame. After the fight, Lanez was sentenced to prison, but Megan's self-esteem was damaged by many remarks made about her character.

The rapper acknowledged that, as a result, she felt like the rest of the music industry was grouping up against her. In a recent profile with L'OFFICIEL, she discussed this trying time and how the song "HISS" got her through it.

During the Lanez trial, Megan Thee Stallion admitted to the outlet that she experienced a depressive episode. She acknowledged, "I felt so awful every day." "It was tough to leave that place. I don't even want to care who despises me.

I ought to concentrate on the love I do receive." The rapper claimed that this phase enabled her to develop thick skin. "I'm attempting to improve on that right now," she declared. Not everything will always be excellent. I have to be present for the jeers if I'm going to be here for the applause."

It makes sense that Megan's spirit was restored by music. The rapper was under attack from Nicki Minaj, among other people. Although the two had previously exchanged barbs, things escalated at the beginning of 2024.

It served as a prelude to the year of rap fights we have already experienced. The Nicki Minaj diss track "HISS," released by Megan Thee Stallion, immediately shot to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. "Hiss" became the rapper's first number-one single as a solo artist and third overall. It also boosted her confidence at a crucial juncture in her life.

"It felt good to finally be able to talk my talk because I was in a place where I was so down, and I didn't want to do anything to disrupt any kind of peace," she opined. "I felt like, 'Oh, Megan Thee Stallion, everybody hates you right now.

Don't you say a word? Just be quiet.'" "HISS" was also an opportunity to prove that she had what it took to go at the queen of hip-hop, Nicki Minaj, and come out the victor. This came as a surprise to even Megan herself. "I did not know it was going to do all of that," she told the outlet. "I had no clue that was going to happen. It felt like everybody was kicking me when I was down." If that's not a remedy for depression, we don't know what is.
