In light of the 'Bad Boys' media frenzy, Martin Lawrence speaks out after the internet has convinced him that his health is failing. He claims that he is doing fine.
The 59-year-old comedian addressed the rumors on Tuesday while he and Will Smith were seated with the "Ebro in the Morning" crew on Hot 97. This came after a recent video of Will appearing to help a somewhat frail-looking Martin on top of a bus sent Twitter users into a frenzy.
Ebro gave Martin the floor and inquired about his health in light of the commotion, asking if he had any other questions. Martin was quick to clarify in this instance.
Did you read this?
He says, "I am fine. I am in God's hands. I am blessed. I am glad to be waking up every day and everything. There is no need for people to be concerned. I am healthy as hell. Stop the rumors."
As previously mentioned, these rumors are not unfounded. Martin was noticeably slow at the L.A. premiere of 'BB4', and Will was leading him by the hand as they walked along the Megabus.
Of course, his appearance at the Emmys also comes to mind, where he caused some concern. We had been informed at the time that he was doing well.
Despite his assurances, some fans pledged to support Martin despite his assurances, even though the explanation on Hot 97 didn't entirely persuade them.
Right now, you have to take the guy at his word if he claims to be good, but the internet—being what it is—has a ton of conspiracy theories.
Looking ahead, the highly anticipated 'Bad Boys: Ride or Die' hits theaters this week, and Martin Lawrence is still set to kick off his 'Y'all Know What It Is!' tour in July. These exciting projects should divert attention from the health rumors and remind fans of his thriving career.
Adding to the excitement, we've learned that several other talented comics, including DC Young Fly, Jess Hilarious, Rickey Smiley, and more, will be making sporadic appearances in the lineup through 2025. This diverse and dynamic lineup promises a series of unforgettable performances.
