The feelings of Frankie Grande, Ariana Grande's brother, regarding her romance with Ethan Slater

Waiting for Frankie Grande's love is not necessary for Ethan Slater.

Ariana Grande's big brother has already given the Broadway actor the go-ahead, stating that he is a "big fan" of her Wicked co-star and their bond.

"I love him," Frankie told TooFab in an interview published June 5. "He's a very sweet guy."

The 41-year-old added that he's been a "big fan" of Ethan ever since seeing him in The SpongeBob Musical, which ran from 2017 to 2018.

"And I got to interview him when I was doing the SpongeBob SquarePants podcast," continued Frankie, who himself has starred in Broadway productions of Mamma Mia! and Rock of Ages. "And the Broadway community is a tight-knit family."

Furthermore, as Frankie stated, Ethan's sister's opinion of him is the true litmus test for his character.

"Honestly, I've always just said this, all I want is for my sister to be happy," he said. "I'm happy when she is happy. Thus, I'm overjoyed."


Ariana, 30, and Ethan, 32, are costarring in the upcoming Wicked movie. Following her two-year marriage to Dalton Gomez, the "thank u, next" singer announced her romance to the public in July 2023.

Frankie reflected on how he was "dramatic as ever" upon learning that his sister had been cast as Glinda the Good Witch.

"We were messes when she told us," the former America's Best Dance Crew judge remembered. "She actually came to see me in a show and she pulled me aside and told me and both of us hit the ground, on the floor, weeping."

He added, "It was a beautiful moment and all of the moments since then have just been absolutely magical, magical! No pun intended."
