American singer John Legend in an interview with CNN expressed his shock and horror upon learning about P.Diddy's  abuse allegations.

In a recent development, allegations surfaced against Combs regarding his physical assault on his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, dating back to 2016. A surveillance video obtained by CNN depicted Diddy violently grabbing, shoving, dragging, and kicking Ventura during the incident.

“I was horrified by the descriptions that I read before the video evidence came out,” Legend said.

John explained that people should believe others when they make accusations of sexual abuse.

“My default stance is to believe women when they make these accusations and to make sure that we do whatever we can to support women [making them],” Legend told CNN.

The legendary singer added that he hopes that all those who have made allegations can be "heard and that any kind of accountability and reparations can be made to make these women whole again.”

“It’s quite a shame,” the singer said.

He added that he wished the women could heal.

“I really just want accountability and hopefully some healing for all of his victims.”

Diddy initially refused the allegations made against him until the video surfaced.

He then issued an apology two days after CNN published the hotel surveillance video from 2016.

“My behaviour on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” he said in a video statement posted on Instagram.

“I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now,” he added.

The rapper claimed he sought professional help.

“I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry,” he said.
