Rapper Prezzo has spoken out following a fainting incident on the red carpet at the launch of Bahati’s new reality TV show on Netflix.
In a reassuring message to his fans, Prezzo confirmed he is doing well, attributing the incident to fatigue from overworking.
“Contrary to the news going around on social media about my health and the red carpet incident last night, I’d like to let everyone know that I am well and kumbukeni sio rahisi kuwa Rais 😉 (Remember that it is not easy being the President). I’ve been overworking myself hence the fatigue. I thank you all for your calls, well wishes, and concern,” Prezzo said.

The rapper announced plans to take a break from his busy schedule to fully recover and spend quality time with his family.
He also expressed gratitude to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for publicly acknowledging his appreciation for Prezzo’s music.
“For now, I just want to take some time out, nitulie na familia (relax with my family). Congrats to Bahati Empire for the good job. Last but not least, a big thank you to His Excellency Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for the accolades and for supporting an industry that we created with blood, sweat, and tears. The future is bright for the industry as a whole. Blessed weekend and kama kawa… Nawapenda Wo! Prezz,” Prezzo added.
The incident occurred on Thursday, June 6, when Prezzo fainted during an interview with online media. He was quickly assisted by those nearby and recovered within a few minutes.
After resting briefly, Prezzo rejoined the event, where Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua recognized him as a pioneer in the Kenyan music industry.
This is not the first instance of a musician fainting in public. Recently, fellow artist Stivo Simple Boy experienced a similar situation during an appearance on the 10 Over 10 show on Citizen TV.
