As expected, Kate Middleton has returned to the public eye.
The Princess of Wales made her first formal appearance since Christmas Day at the Trooping the Colour on June 15, King Charles III's birthday. She has been receiving preventative chemotherapy since being diagnosed with cancer. The Princess of Wales is married to Prince William and has three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
Kate was seen arriving at Buckingham Palace with her family to celebrate with Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla.
Charles and Camilla arrived in a carriage to begin the festivities, with Kate, George, Charlotte, and Louis following closely behind in a different carriage. Meanwhile, William was riding a horse with Prince Edward and Princess Anne.

Except for a Match 22 video where she opened up about her struggle, Kate has stayed out of the spotlight during her ongoing medical journey. At the same time, Charles has made a few public appearances since disclosing his diagnosis in February.
Additionally, Kate used the opportunity to update everyone on her well-being. A day before the Trooping of the Colour, she had confirmed that she would be there.
"I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days," Kate said in her June 14 post. "On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well."
The 42-year-old went on, "I'm still receiving treatment, and it will be for a few more months. When I'm feeling well enough, I enjoy participating in school activities, spending time doing things that make me feel good about myself, and beginning to work from home occasionally."
She acknowledged that she will be at Trooping the Colour and expressed her intention to participate in a few more public events this summer, but she also admits that she is "not out of the woods yet."
"I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty," she continued, sharing her gratitude for the public's support. I am taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal."
At the yearly ceremonial military event known as Trooping the Colour, which honors King Charles III's birthday, Kate Middleton grinned alongside other royal family members. The Princess of Wales made her first significant public appearance since disclosing her cancer diagnosis in March 2024 and her first public royal engagement since December 2023.
