A shocking new video reveals how Florida rapper Julio Foolio had almost no time to react when gunmen ambushed him outside a hotel, firing into his car and killing him.

The incident occurred in Tampa on June 23, just two days after the Jacksonville native's 26th birthday. Surveillance footage from the shared parking lot of a Hilton and Holiday Inn shows the gunmen lying in wait for Foolio's black car. Foolio had been in town celebrating with friends, moving the party from an Airbnb to the hotel, a move he documented on Instagram shortly before the shooting.

The video captures a masked gunman sprinting through the parking lot at 4:37 AM, wielding what appears to be a semi-automatic rifle, and opening fire on the car. As Foolio and his companions tried to escape, their car hit a curb while speeding around a corner, attempting to evade the barrage of bullets. Other gunmen seem to be visible in the distance.

The shooter fired from point-blank range, resulting in Foolio's death. Three others in the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and the suspects managed to flee the scene.

Following his violent death, Foolio's mother released a statement, acknowledging her son's gangsta lifestyle but vowing to produce a documentary about his life. Despite his murder, Foolio's Instagram account remains active, featuring a bizarre resurrection video using AI to place his face on WWE's Undertaker's body.

The Tampa Police Department has stated there are no updates on their ongoing investigation to apprehend the shooter.
