Nicki Minaj has canceled her upcoming concert in Bucharest, Romania, citing safety concerns. Announcing the decision on her X account, she explained that her security team advised against performing due to potential violence from local protests.

Minaj, prioritizing her safety and that of her team and her son, decided it was too risky to proceed with the show. She expressed her love for her fans and asked for their understanding, promising to perform in London later in the week instead.

Romanian activists are scheduled to march in Bucharest's town center tomorrow to protest the state's fiscal policies, which Minaj's team believes could lead to violence. Reactions on social media have been mixed, with some fans supporting her decision while others downplay the protests, suggesting she simply doesn't want to perform in Bucharest.

This isn't the first time Minaj has had to cancel a show at the last minute. In May, she was arrested at the Amsterdam airport, causing her to miss a show in Manchester.

Despite the setback, the "Pink Friday 2" tour will continue in London next week, and Romanian fans will have to wait for her next visit.
