Soulja Boy is taking a page from the 2024 Rap Wars playbook by dissing Drake to promote his upcoming project. The 'Crank That' rapper announced his new album, "Swag Season," which will be released later this month, through a series of posts where he takes major shots at Drake.

On Tuesday, Soulja Boy criticized Drake in a manner similar to Kendrick Lamar’s verse on “Not Like Us,” implying that Drake's collaborators have abandoned him. He said, "Doing all them weak ass songs with them nz look where it got u. None of them ns you collab with or took on tour had yo back."

This marks an interesting twist, considering Soulja Boy was recently feuding with Metro Boomin, which many saw as supporting Drake after Metro’s "Like That" diss topped the charts. Soulja eventually apologized to Metro and has now redirected his ire towards Drake, turning the tables completely.

He also aimed some harsh words at Blueface, threatening the "Thotiana" rapper with a post-prison confrontation. Soulja Boy previously challenged Blueface to a one-on-one fight, only to back out, and now he wants to take on someone who's been working out extensively? Interesting move.

Rap beefs have proven to be a successful strategy lately. Kendrick Lamar's diss track is back at No. 1, and Soulja Boy's album, set to drop on July 28, might follow a similar path with all the buzz he’s creating.
