Obinna has faced criticism about his music career, but his 69th music video went viral, garnering widespread acclaim and sparking challenges on TikTok. In an interview on the Mic Cheque Podcast, Obinna discussed how he once lost hope due to negative comments about his music, with many suggesting he should stick to comedy.

Fortunately, he chose to focus on his passion rather than people's opinions, continuing to release music for fun and to support others involved in his productions. He also aims to inspire upcoming musicians who may be losing hope.
“Whenever I release music, people say I should stick to comedy, but I think they don’t get it. If you don't like me and prefer Chaxy, go enjoy Chaxy’s content instead,” Obinna said.
“I was counting the other day and realized that I have around seventy music videos on my channel, not including the audios. I’ve shot two new songs recently; one is coming out on August 6th, and the other in September. These songs are fire. The one on August 6th, 'Namposti,' featuring Dem Wa Facebook, is really something special. You’ll see it’s fire.”
