Tom Cruise brought the 2024 Olympics to a spectacular close with a thrilling Mission Impossible-style stunt as Paris handed over the baton to Los Angeles. The 62-year-old actor stunned both viewers and athletes as he descended from the roof of the Stade de France, sliding down a rope 115 feet to land on the pitch.

Unfazed by the daring drop, Tom was met with cheers from the excited athletes before he hopped on a motorcycle and took the Olympic flag for a joyride out of the stadium.

The excitement continued with a pre-recorded video showing Tom cruising past iconic Parisian landmarks like the Eiffel Tower before arriving at an airport. From there, the Top Gun star skydived out of a plane, ultimately landing in Los Angeles.

Tom then hiked up to the famous Hollywood sign, where he passed the flag to U.S. cyclist Kate Courtney.

The closing stunt left viewers at home in awe, especially after the rain-drenched opening ceremony. One fan wrote, "American Tom Cruise doing stunts, riding through Paris, and catching a plane to the US as Red Hot Chili Peppers plays—EPIC!"
