Beloved Houston rapper and producer BeatKing has tragically passed away, and TMZ has uncovered the cause of his death. A representative for BeatKing revealed that he died in a Houston hospital on Thursday after suffering a pulmonary embolism.

The incident occurred earlier that day when BeatKing suddenly fainted while doing a morning takeover at Urban One/Radio One. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later passed away, with his two daughters by his side.

The representative expressed their sorrow, saying, "It is truly sad, we loved him so much." In a heartfelt tribute, they described BeatKing as "the best part of the club for over a decade," adding that his influence on the music industry will endure.

"He has produced and worked with so many artists, that his sound will forever live. He loved his daughters, his music, and his fans. We will love him forever," the rep continued.

BeatKing gained widespread recognition for his viral 2020 TikTok hit "Then Leave," which brought him international fame. Before that, he was a fixture in the Texas party scene throughout the 2010s, with his music frequently played at colleges and clubs.

Some of his other popular tracks include "SDAB" featuring 2 Chainz and Juicy J, "Outside," and "Keep It Poppin" featuring Ludacris and Queendom Come.
