JAY-Z made a statement last week at the reopening of his iconic 40/40 Club for Fanatics Fest in New York City by sporting a rare Bugatti Tourbillon watch valued at $340,000. Celebrity jeweler Jacob Arabo, who designed the watch, shared on Instagram that JAY-Z was the first to own this exclusive piece. “My dear friend @jayz was the first to own the 5 time zone watch. 25 years later, he’s the first to own the Bugatti Tourbillon,” Arabo wrote, as reported by HipHopDX.

In another post, Arabo highlighted the collaboration behind the watch, describing it as the result of months of effort between their teams, with each contributing their expertise. Inspired by Bugatti’s latest hyper sports car, the Tourbillon watch reflects the car’s signature design elements and cutting-edge technology. The 52 x 44 mm case, modeled after the car’s body, showcases the front grille, side radiator inlets, and large sapphire side windows.

Inside, the watch features a V16 engine block automaton made from a single piece of transparent sapphire, echoing Bugatti’s innovative engine design. The 30-second flying tourbillon and retrograde hours and minutes, designed to resemble an RPM counter, represent remarkable advancements in watchmaking.

Although impressive, this watch isn’t the most expensive piece JAY-Z has been seen wearing recently. Earlier this year, he was spotted with a Rolex watch valued at over $4 million. He also invested in the luxury watch marketplace, Wristcheck.

The 40/40 Club’s temporary reopening was for Michael Rubin’s Fanatics Fest NYC. Keep an eye on HotNewHipHop for more updates on JAY-Z.
