Kenyan YouTuber Miss Trudy has responded to rumors that she is divorcing her Ghanaian husband, fellow YouTuber Wode Maya.
Miss Trudy felt compelled to address these claims after speculation began circulating that she was unhappy in her marriage and was considering leaving. In a recent YouTube update, she explained that she decided to speak out due to the negativity and slander being directed at Maya.
The sassy YouTuber explained that comments she made in a previous podcast were taken out of context, creating the false impression that her marriage was in trouble.

The divorce rumors began when Miss Trudy was asked if she spends time with Maya, to which she responded "no." This led fans and social media commentators to speculate that she was unhappy in her marriage.
“I said no because I wanted to be honest, we don’t spend time together because he travels and I also end up travelling,” she said.
Miss Trudy clarified that although she always tries to tell the truth about her life, she doesn't want Maya's candor to be seen as a sign of her evil nature.
“I wouldn’t have done this video were it not for how Maya is being attacked online… I feel like you guys care about me but at the same time I think that you got it wrong,” she said.
She also denied claims that Maya was a narcissist, claiming that he is one of the sweetest people she has ever been around.
“Maya is not perfect and so am I. I just want you guys to be kind when dealing with Maya; have that in mind and understand that we are two different people from two different cultures and our marriage is not perfect,” she said.
Finally, on claims that she is getting a divorce from Maya, Miss Trudy dismissed the claims, noting that she would love to grow old with her husband.
“I don’t want to get a divorce, when I got married, I knew I wanted to be in my marriage until the end. I wanna grow old with Maya and I don’t want to look anywhere else,” she stated.
In December 2023, Miss Trudy issued a statement urging people to ease off on her husband amid her month-long break from content creation.
She expressed her concern about fans blaming him for her absence.
In the video, Miss Teudy defended her husband, describing him as ‘the sweetest guy out there’ and urged fans to approach him with politeness.
“You’ve been on Maya’s case attacking him, sending him messages all over social media asking what have you done to Miss Trudy, and that’s sweet, but you guys also don’t understand that Maya is the sweetest guy out there,” she said.
Miss Trudy made it clear that her decision to take a break from YouTube is unrelated to her marriage.
She assured her fans that the changes she went through during her vacation will be mirrored in her upcoming work, explaining that her break had been a time of introspection and personal development.
“You guys know I have always been consistent, but it gets to a time in life when you just need to breathe. So I had to go away, and while I was away, I have done a lot of soul-searching. Expect different content, and I am also evolving; things need to change,” she explained.
