The media has obtained the 911 call made after Rich Homie Quan's death, in which his girlfriend tells the dispatcher that the rapper was not breathing and had no heartbeat. She explained that he was unresponsive on a couch in their home when she called for help, and began foaming at the mouth when she tried to move him.

Rich Homie Quan, the Atlanta-based platinum-selling rapper, has passed away, as confirmed by Waza News Hip Hop. The 34-year-old artist, born Dequantes Lamar, died at his Atlanta home on Thursday, according to his family and a representative from the Fulton County morgue.


His family expressed their devastation and heartbreak over his sudden passing. While no cause of death has been determined, they are searching for answers.

RHQ rose to fame in 2013 with his hit song "Type of Way," followed by popular tracks like "Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh)" and "Ride Out." He also collaborated with Young Thug on the Cash Money Records project "Rich Gang," and frequently worked with fellow Atlanta artists 2 Chainz and Jacquees.

In a recent interview, Rich Homie Quan criticized the direction of modern hip hop, calling out its violent lyrics and repetitive song formats.
