Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan recently opened up about her past relationships and the differences between the fathers of her five children during a candid Q&A session with her son Raphael on his You Tube channel,Zari compared her late ex-husband, Ivan Semwanga, who fathered her three older sons, with Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz, the father of her two youngest children.
Zari described Ivan as someone who showed his affection through material wealth rather than emotional connection. “Your dad was not romantic,” she explained to her son. Ivan’s love language seemed to be financial generosity, as he would buy her new cars and lavish gifts, but Zari still questions whether this was his way of showing love or simply a result of having plenty of money to spend.
In contrast, Zari described her second baby daddy, Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz, as someone who was far more emotionally involved and romantic.

“Baba T (Diamond) was very romantic. Everyone could see it. He was the type to really get involved in his woman’s life. I have people buying me beautiful flowers with a lot of money in them, but, I appreciate when a person does the little things more than just expensive gifts. It is about intention.”
Zari is currently married to Shakib Lutaya, her younger lover. However, their relationship faced tension recently after she accused Lutaya of being insecure when Diamond visited her house for their daughter’s birthday. Zari confronted Lutaya about his insecurities, stating that she chose him and shouldn’t have to prove herself. She suggested that perhaps he should find someone more compatible if he couldn’t handle her lifestyle.
