Zuchu’s remark referring to fans in Mbeya as ‘Wahuni’ is believed to have sparked the unrest.
Meanwhile, Diamond Platnumz’s past connection with disgraced Hip hop mogul P. Diddy is beginning to tarnish his brand.
During the Wasafi Festival's Mbeya edition, Zuchu was forced to cut her performance short as chants of ‘P. Diddy’ filled the air, with the crowd throwing empty water bottles and other objects onto the stage.

The "Sukari" hitmaker allegedly sparked the chaos after referring to her Mbeya fans as "Wahuni," which loosely translates to "thugs."
“Wahuni kwa nini mnarusha vitu juu ya stage sasa, aah aah kwa nini mrushe vitu juu ya stage” pleaded Zuchu partly.
Zuchu’s bouncer tried to intervene by providing cover amid objects being thrown at her as the booing intensified.
“Toka, P. Diddy, P. Diddy, Toka” partly chanted the crowd.
Sensing danger, she threw her microphone on the stage and exited with her bouncer in tow followed by her dancers who were clad in white costumes.
Following Zuchu’s tribulations, netizens have shared mixed reactions through the videos doing rounds on social media.
We sampled a few of them below.
“Asa mtu umewaita watu washamba why wasikuoneshe ushamba wao”
“Anafokea wateja”
“Mamaee mzimu wa P. Diddy bado unazunguka”
“Eti mke wa P. Diddy hawataki harufu ya mavi stejini”
“Watu wameshawachoka”
“Utawala washetani umegomewa na nyimbo zao zisizokuwa na maadili ila zinakwenda sasa basi”
“Sasa jamani Diddy tena”
“Ni ushamba uliopitiliza”
“Stupid mind”
“Amewaita wahuni sasa ngoja wamuonyeshe uhunu”
“Duuh kweli ushamba mzigo Mungu awasaidie”
Despite Zuchu’s misfortunes, the concert went on well with other artists the likes of Mbosso, Lava lava, Young Lunya and Diamond among others gracing the stage.
This is not the first time Zuchu is facing such an incident, sometimes last year Zuchu was forced to end her show after objects were hurled at her.
Since Diddy’s arrest, Diamond’s association with the disgraced Hip hop mogul has been slowly eating into his brand.
