Deon "D1" Best, who claims to be a former friend and business partner of Diddy, has accused the music mogul of creating a criminal enterprise under his mother Janice Combs' name. On *The Daily Mail* podcast, *The Trial of Diddy*, D1 announced plans to sue Janice, claiming she took publishing rights from artists. Best alleges he assisted Diddy in signing multiple artists in the 1990s through his company, Finish Line Entertainment, but that Janice ultimately received the publishing rights and profits.

"All of my publishing rights went to Janice Combs," Best stated. He added, “I'm here to address a different part of these allegations…what I believe involves his mother, Janice Combs. The [Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act] is about accountability for systematic actions." Best further claimed that these actions caused both financial and emotional harm to him and other artists, saying, "I believe Janice Combs meets the criteria for these types of activities."

Janice Combs recently defended her son against allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering, expressing heartbreak over what she called a “public lynching.” In an October statement, she said, “It’s painful to watch my son judged by a narrative of lies. My son deserves his day in court to share his side and prove his innocence.”

Diddy, who has consistently denied all allegations over the past year, remains in a Brooklyn jail awaiting trial. He entered a not-guilty plea shortly after his arrest. Stay tuned for updates on Diddy’s case on Waza Entertainment.
