In the second episode of *Hey Girl*, Mungai Eve and her co-host Liz Jackson responded to Sarah Kabu’s view that “women should not leave a man because of cheating,” calling this perspective outdated. They argued that staying in a relationship despite infidelity is a thing of the past, pointing out that previous generations often held the belief that “Mwanamke ni kuvumilia kwenye ndoa” (a woman must endure in marriage). However, they feel this expectation no longer holds in today’s society.
Eve shared that her mother once advised patience in relationships, suggesting that one should wait for things to improve. However, Eve says she has since encouraged her mother to adopt a different perspective. “My mom used to say, ‘just be patient,’ but now I’ve empowered her to understand that one should be in a happy marriage,” she explained.

Eric Omondi, a surprise guest on the show, shared that his father had five wives, with his mother being the fourth. Omondi explained that growing up around his father and uncles, he believed men were naturally polygamous. “I grew up thinking men are naturally polygamous because of my dad and uncles,” he shared.
Eve, however, countered this idea, stating her belief that polygamy is a choice rather than a natural inclination. “From my observations, I think it’s a choice. Men have the ability to say no if they’re committed,” she argued.
Omondi also mentioned that he intends to focus on his one child, wanting to provide the best possible opportunities. “I feel satisfied with one child so they can have the best of the best,” he said.
