Lil Scrappy is addressing criticism after celebrating the arrival of his baby boy, Kyrie Richardson.
The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star welcomed his fifth child on November 23, just weeks after revealing he was expecting a baby with Shakira. Proudly sharing several photos of his son, the rapper and reality TV star couldn’t hide his joy.
Shakira also posted pictures with her newborn, expressing gratitude for Lil Scrappy’s support during her lengthy labor and thanking fans for their well-wishes.
“For the last 7days I’ve been completely distracted by this lil man Saturday 11/23/24 @ 7:39am I gave birth to a baby boy 7lbs 2.5oz,” Shakira wrote. “Labor was long but with the support of my child’s dad @reallilscrappy and my daughter, I was able to push him out in under 6mins Officially a #boymom.”
Lil Scrappy wrote, “So yes God blessed me yet again 8 days ago with another son . Grateful to have a new baby boy to join my family, no matter what the negatives say you still gone get this daddy love and support you and ya moms shout out to my lil guy.”

The Atlanta rapper has been getting a lot of support from fans and some of his Love and Hip Hop co-stars, including Spice, who congratulated him. Still, some folks have criticized him for having many children with different women while questioning if he is taking care of all of them. Scrappy pushed back, assuring fans he takes good care of his children.
“To the people that be having negative stuff to say about a kid, a baby, and me having a baby and am not with nobody, am a single man, that’s pretty dumb,” Scrappy said. “You can’t get mad at ’em cause they probably not happy with their life. I’m happy with mine. I’m good. Any baby that come in this world from [me] gon be taken care of. Imma love on them, just like it’s supposed to be done. I’m sorry your momma and daddy weren’t there for you like I be there for mine.”
Lil Scrappy’s mother, Momma Dee, defended her son from critics telling haters to stay out of his business.
In the meantime, Scrappy’s exes, Bambi and Erica Dixon, have yet to comment on him having a new baby. However, Bambi shared a reaction last month by revealing her latest children’s book, which fans say she is capitalizing on the publicity around her baby daddy having another child.
