Brian Chira’s grandmother faced criticism after asking tiktokers to either build her another house or fence the current one due to insecurity.

She even mentioned her intention to sell it, but after backlash, she was compelled to address the concerns in a live session on the platform.

Although she later assured supporters that she would not sell the house, her request for further assistance was met with mixed reactions. Following the controversy surrounding her plans to sell and relocate, she has since reconsidered her decision.

The grandmother asserted in a TikTok video that there is a high rate of insecurity in the neighborhood where she resides.

She mentioned that they were far from the main road and that she might be amenable to relocating to a container home closer to it.

TikTok user @peter_kioi_mvp_office75 took offense at her remarks and went live on his account to advise Chira's grandma against trying to sell the house.

Furthermore, he warned Obidan Dela and other TikTokers against using the platform to raise more funds for her, emphasizing that the house was built for Chira, not for her personal benefit.

Most TikTok users sided with him, though some argued that she should have the freedom to decide what to do with the house.

Amid the ongoing debate, Chira’s grandmother went live on TikTok to clarify her stance, assuring supporters that she had no intention of selling the house.

"I won’t sell what belongs to you without informing you. Please take your time and decide how you can assist me," she stated.

She further suggested that TikTokers could either buy land and build her a new home in a different location or help her install an electric fence for security.

"I recently tried reaching out to Obidan because there were thieves around, but he didn’t respond. They are stealing cattle, among other things," she added, expressing her security concerns.

There is no security. Chira’s grandmother acknowledged the significant impact TikTokers had on their lives but emphasized that she was not seeking financial assistance.
