Gospel singer and social media influencer Karangu Muraya has opened up about his decision to marry his second wife, Carol Kim, amid ongoing conflicts with his estranged wife, Triza Njeri. Karangu explained that his marriage to Triza had faced long-standing challenges, with tensions sometimes lasting up to six months.
He shared that the constant tension and Triza’s unhappiness whenever he was around pushed him to seek peace elsewhere. The stress from the strained relationship also affected his health, leading to issues such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Ultimately, Karangu says he had to leave his home due to the lack of peace.
Reason Behind Karangu 2nd Marriage
During a candid Facebook Live session, Karangu revealed that his marriage to Triza had been troubled for a long time, with conflicts that sometimes resulted in months of silence between them. He explained that their home was devoid of peace, and despite his efforts to reconcile—including seeking help from friends and neighbors—nothing seemed to resolve their issues.
“There were times we could go up to six months without talking to each other. I would ask her what was wrong, but she would simply say ‘nothing.’ I even involved friends and neighbours to try and resolve the issues, but nothing changed,” he recalled.
The businessman narrated how his presence in their house would change Triza's mood, stating that Triza often appeared happy before he arrived but would suddenly become distant and unhappy when he got home.
“I would get home and find her happy, but the moment I stepped inside, everything changed. The house became tense, and I could feel the lack of peace. It reached a point where she told me, ‘Whenever I see you, I lack peace,’” he said.
The businessman revealed that the stress from his failing marriage took a toll on his health, leading to diabetes and high blood pressure revealing that at one point he even battled suicidal thoughts.
He explained being emotionally drained, seeking stability and peace, he decided to leave their matrimonial home, but not to abandon his marriage. He said that to regain peace in the house, he opted to exit the house, rather than having four people, Triza and his three kids, leave the house. Karangu Muraya has two wives, Triza and Carol.
Does Karangu have peace now? After leaving, he found solace in Carol Kim, with whom he moved into a rental house in Kasarani. When I left, I found peace. We have never fought. I think it’s because she understands my pain, my anger, and my weaknesses,” he shared.
Karangu revealed that he and Carol have been dating since 2022, initially keeping their relationship private to avoid judgment before eventually going public. He explained that when he began his relationship with Carol, he made sure Triza was aware and took steps to ensure the two never crossed paths.
Previously, Karangu went live on TikTok, asking Triza to return to their matrimonial home for the sake of their children. He reminded her of the life they had built together and emphasized that their home belongs to her just as much as it belongs to him.
