Maria Wangari Kamunge, also known as Rish Kamunge, the woman accused of scamming millions from Kenyans, has announced the launch of her new TikTok account.

The founder of Trustpin Travel Agency shared the news on her Facebook page, urging her followers to support her.

According to Rish, she created the account to counter the numerous fake TikTok profiles impersonating her.

Kamunge was forced to create a new TikTok account after her previous one was banned.

The suspension came after Kenyans reported the account in response to allegations that she had been scamming people. The ban was a significant setback for Rish Kamunge, as her old account had amassed 677.3K followers before its removal.

Fraud Allegations

Rish Kamunge made headlines in late March after reports surfaced that she had scammed millions of shillings from Kenyans through her company, Trustpin Travel Agency.

According to reports, she promised job opportunities abroad in exchange for payments ranging from Ksh 200,000 to Ksh 300,000. However, after receiving the money, she allegedly failed to deliver on her promises, leading many victims to report the matter to authorities, believing they had been defrauded.

Currently, the TikToker is out on bond after a judge granted her release on Ksh 5 million bail a week ago. However, the case remains ongoing.
