Gospel artist Triza Njeri’s much-anticipated debut album launch took a surprising twist after several supporters reportedly reversed their mobile donations, leaving the singer both stunned and amused.
The glamorous launch, held on April 27 at Blue Springs Hotel along Thika Road, was a vibrant affair filled with music, celebration, and significant financial support. However, shortly after the event, Triza took to TikTok Live alongside her best friend, Tatat Essy, to express disbelief over the unexpected reversals of funds sent via mobile money platforms.
"You decided to reverse the money? I still love you all, but honestly, what happened?" she asked with a mix of sarcasm and laughter as she read out names and amounts reversed during the stream.

The drama appears to be linked to a surprise appearance by Triza’s estranged husband, Karangu Muraya, who not only attended the launch but also donated Ksh. 200,000 and mobilized an additional Ksh. 500,000 from his network. His gesture stirred a frenzy online, especially since Triza had previously insisted she would not reconcile with Karangu unless he left his second wife.
Speculation online suggests that the unexpected public reunion may have left some fans feeling disillusioned, possibly prompting the donation reversals as a form of protest.
Despite the buzz, Triza quickly addressed the speculation, reaffirming her position after the event. She emphasized that while she appreciated Karangu’s support, her stance remained firm: reconciliation would only be an option if he chose to commit to her exclusively.
