William Kabogo Gitau, former governor of Kiambu, is one of 22 defendants listed in a case that was submitted to the Environment and Land Court on Wednesday.
According to court documents, the prime property houses KRA executive staff quarters in the Kizingo neighbourhood. A Mombasa businessman named Ashok Labhshanker Doshi is also included in the lawsuit.
Wilson Gachanja and Sammy Mwaita, former Commissioners of Lands, have both been accused of abusing authority and violating the public trust by assisting in illegally purchasing public land.

In the dispute involving the transactions involving the plot where EACC claims a parking yard was carved out and a residential unit was built, Sheikh Ali Taib is named as a defendant.
Dhrinder Kumar, Lalji Vimal, Lalji Rahishi Shah, and Kasturben Lalji Raishi Shah are said to be the owners of the property, which was initially allocated to Sheikh Taib.
EACC requests that ownership of the properties is returned to KRA and that all title deeds held by the persons it has sued be declared invalid, null, and void.
