There have been nine American Music Awards, nine Soul Train Awards, three Billboard Awards, and the 2011 MOBO Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

They also received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a Casino Entertainment Award for their successful residency at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, which has been running since 2013.

The first Stanbic Yetu Festival was held last year, with multi-award-winning American musician Anthony Hamilton headlining and Kenyan talents Otile Brown and June Gachui.

In a statement to news outlets, the organizers stated, "The Stanbic Yetu Festival seeks to leverage music, a powerful human connector, to bring to life Stanbic's brand promise "It Can Be" by creating a soulful and magical live musical experience in Kenya, making possibilities real and dreams possible for millions of Kenyans."

"Stanbic Bank is also deeply committed to celebrating Kenya's talent by promoting arts and music, thereby contributing to the growth of the entertainment industry and, as a result, the country's economy."
