American tennis legend Serena Williams announced her pregnancy with her second child at the Met Gala on Monday.
When she arrived at the New York fashion show with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion told reporters that "three of us" were on the red carpet.
Olympia, the couple's first child, was born in October 2017.

Last year, Williams stated in Vogue magazine that she wanted to focus on developing her family rather than tennis.
In a TikTok video on Monday, Williams stated that she was "so excited when Anna Wintour invited the three of us to the Met Gala."
This time, Williams was given more leeway in announcing her pregnancy, revealing the news with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, in an interview with Vogue livestream host La Anthony. Williams publicly shared a picture in her Snapchat profile with the message "20 weeks" the first time, which she claimed was an accident.
In honour of the late Chanel designer, the theme of this year's gala was "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty."

Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit and an entrepreneur, was seen on the red carpet softly putting his hand on the 41-year-old Williams' abdomen.
