During her appearance on Dr. King'ori's Wicked edition, media personality Betty Kyalo delved into the subject of her short-lived marriage with fellow media personality Dennis Okari. Reflecting on their relationship, Betty expressed her confusion over how they managed to date for four years, only to have their marriage crumble after a mere six months.
Betty openly discussed the perplexing nature of their situation, highlighting her difficulty in comprehending the sudden downfall of their union. The media personality shared these insights while appearing alongside her sisters, offering a glimpse into the complexities and challenges they faced during that period. "The divorce has significantly shifted my views on marriage. If I meet a great guy whom I envision as my lifelong partner, I may choose not to go through a formal wedding ceremony," she explained.

However, the mother of one has not given up on relationships, and she is confident that she will one day meet the right man.
"I'm still hopeful. God is gonna bless me with a man, with a husband," she remarked.
Less than six months after their wedding, rumours of the couple's separation surfaced. Betty had left their marital house and moved into a rental apartment with her daughter.
The CEO of Flair By Betty accidentally revealed in a previous interview that she was young and didn't want to be married since she didn't understand its significance.
Betty, in her discussion, emphasized that she has experienced personal growth since her failed marriage. She expressed her readiness to embark on a new chapter and settle down with the person that God sends her way. Reflecting on her past experiences, Betty conveyed a sense of optimism and a willingness to embrace the future, demonstrating her openness to finding a lasting and fulfilling partnership.
"But right now, I have grown as a woman, I understand myself and I now know what I want.
"I'm ready to mend my ways so I also get my ring. But now, I'm not in a hurry. Whoever God will send my way is who I will settle with," she observed.
In an unexpected turn of events, the former newscaster admitted that she was pleased with her baby father's second marriage.
"You don't need to put a brave face in public but behind closed doors, you two are not okay. I chose to be happy and I'm even happy for him," Betty added.
During the launch of her new business, Aftershave By Betty, Betty confirmed that she was single and ready to date after becoming engaged to attorney Nick Ndeda in 2021. The couple eventually called off their engagement.
The mother of one said during the event that people get divorced all the time and that the reason her breakup received so much attention was because she is in the spotlight.
"People fall in love and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. And when it doesn't it's okay, there is nothing wrong with it. I think because I am a public figure that's why it becomes a big deal but it's a normal thing.
"People move in different directions and people have different ideas on how to live life and do things, so when you break up, move on," Betty Kyallo explained.
