On Wednesday, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua mocked Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah for reportedly attempting to intimidate both President William Ruto and him despite the fact that they were both his seniors and both attended Alliance High School.

"I also need to reconcile with Kimani Ichung'wah because he has not been very nice to us. He was in Alliance High School and any time we are at an occasion and he is given the opportunity to speak because the President and I went to schools no one wants to talk about, he tries to intimidate us despite being his seniors," Gachagua said during the National Prayer Breakfast at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi.

"But my brother, Ichung'wah, please have some respect. They say Alliance people are tough but I went to that Alliance of yours and managed to convince a girl to be my wife. Between me and these guys who went to Alliance, who is more superior?" posed Gachagua.

However, Senate Speaker Amason Kingi, another Alliance old boy, defended Ichung'wah, claiming that the "Alliance girl" had actually wooed Gachagua into love.

"Because she does not have a right of reply, she whispered to me to go set the record straight. According to Dorcas, she is the one who wooed him into love, not the other way around, so again, Alliance wins," Kingi said to laughter from the audience.
