Tyler Mbaya, better known as Baha from the popular TV show Machachari, recently announced that he would be stepping away from social media to focus on treatment and personal development.

Baha stated his intention to turn over a fresh leaf and prioritize his mental health in a touching letter on his social media pages.

Introducing his supporters as the 'Tyler Gang,' he explained:

"Doc believes I need a brief social media break as a form of detox as I begin my recovery journey." I concur, "I need to put my mental health first."

Recognizing the significance of taking time off, Baha announced a two-week vacation to ensure a good start to his rehabilitation.

Baha openly admitted to having a gambling issue during a press conference on Friday, June 9.

He bravely related his experiences, voiced his embarrassment, and intended to seek help to break the habit.

Baha indicated that his first therapy session had already been beneficial, and he advised his peers to avoid similar vices.

Baha recently came under fire after a Kenyan woman in the United States exposed him.

Nurse Judy, the woman, claimed that Baha had scammed her with Ksh20,000.

She claims the actor borrowed the money to pay bills after stating he was behind on his rent.

The news prompted criticism in Kenya, with many divided on how the incident should have been handled.

Shortly after the scandal erupted, a music video featuring Baha and Georgina was published, prompting increased condemnation of the couple, with accusations that they were seeking publicity and influence.


Baha told Nairobi News in an exclusive interview on Friday that his addiction was not a means for him to make the song a hit.

"The artists had intended to release the song the same week, and I'm not sure if they took advantage of the situation... It's not for me to say, but they released it without informing me. I only saw the video after it was released, and it had nothing to do with power. So, no, it wasn't all about Kiki. That's why I'm here to try to clear the situation," Baha explained.

He said that once the song was released, he spoke with Lexsil and Jovial, who just told him that the music had already been released and they could do nothing about it.
