Radio host and social media influencer Kamene Goro is on the receiving end of kenyans frustrations after she shared a video of her washing Omena with disinfectant soap.

In the video, the media personality is standing at the sink area, adding soap to a bowl of Omena and scabbing, saying it needs to be cleaned before it can be cooked. She added that she will rinse it with water afterwards to make it safe for consumption.

Upcoming politician Alinur Mohamed came to her defence, saying that omena is not food for human consumption and should be felt for cats and dogs to eat.

"Personally, I believe Omena is not food. It is meant for cats and German Shepherds dogs. If you must eat them, wash them with soap and hot water to disinfect them the same way Kamene Goro does here." said Alinur.
