David Adedeji Adeleke, commonly known by his stage name Davido, is an award-winning Nigerian musician who recently opened up about how difficult Father's Day was for him.
The father of three posted several messages on his Instagram stories explaining how this well-recognized "holiday" severely affected him.
Even though the day had brought tears to his eyes, he expressed gratitude to God for being with him and giving him strength in his sincere posts.
Father's Day was challenging for me. But I praise God for my courage," Davido wrote in his first post.
Then he continued,

"Some days will be like this, my eyes are filled with water, but I'll be OK! Love you always!"
The fact that Davido will not be spending this Father's Day with his son Ifeanyi Adeleke, whom he shared with his wife Chioma Rowland, makes this year's event particularly difficult for him.
In October of last year, Ifeanyi, their first and only child, passed away. The young child drowned in their home's pool in Banana Residence, Nigeria.
According to reports, Ifeanyi was reportedly with his nanny when the accident occurred.
The celebrity revealed recently in an interview with the AB Talks podcast that he experiences morning tears, even if they may go unnoticed by others.
He claims that he hasn't stopped thinking about his child.
Davido said, "I miss him every day; there are tears coming out of my eyes every morning; you don't have to see it," he said.
He continued by saying that he thinks his deceased son is looking out for him from above, which gives him the courage to stand up for himself and Ifeanyi's mother.
"Apart from it simply being about me, I know how many people love me and depend on me, I stated as I looked at myself in the mirror.
