Media personality Mwende Macharia has given her side of her interview with popular TikToker Azziad Nasenya that went wrong.

Azziad stormed out of the studio in anger during the incident on Wednesday.

Speaking exclusively to Nairobi News, the vivacious radio presenter revealed that she had invited Azziad to appear on her show segment, 'Inspirational Wednesday,' which focuses on showcasing the achievements of young individuals who have excelled in various areas of life.

I wanted Azziad to share her experience with our viewers because she is one of those persons who has found remarkable success in her field, Mwende said.

Mwende claims that when she asked a question regarding the dissolution of the Talanta Hela Council, a subject they had already agreed not to discuss, an unexpected departure occurred.

As the presenter asked additional questions, Azziad answered "no comment" to each one.

"We decided not to discuss it. No comments. I'll genuinely leave if Mwende tukishaongea na tuka agree. You go back on it because we can't agree on it," Azziad said.

"I cannot understand that you do not value me as a brand, my dear. As she left the studio, she added, "Thank you.

Mwende highlighted that these instances are uncommon during her presentations and that she and Azziad are not hostile to one another. She stressed that she was only going about her business as a journalist.

"These are the risks that journalists endure on the job. It's not the first time they've happened; they do so occasionally. I've even made friends with an artist who previously left our studio, Mwende remarked.

The seasoned media personality insisted that her only goal was to find out if Azziad's life had been damaged by losing the job opportunity with Talanta Hela. As a journalist, she thought it was appropriate to pose the question.

Mwende responded to the trolls and detractors by saying that despite having 14 years of professional experience as a journalist, she does not let negativity affect her life.

Mwende said that she had no ill will toward Azziad and that all her acts were strictly related to her job duties.
