Radio host and media personality Oga Obinna has condemned comedian Eric Omondi for buying cheap things for struggling artist stevo simple boy.

“What has pissed me off is Eric Omondi trying to capitalize on that situation for himself. He went to visit Stevo with 1kg of sugar and Unga and other small things. That was a very foolish move. How will 1kg of sugar and Unga help Stevo? The shopping Eric did is not more than Sh2500. A whole Eric Omondi? Do you know who Eric Omondi is?," he said

“If you want to help Stevo genuinely, find the guy a job. If it's influencing or something, we all know music doesn’t pay in Kenya. Even if it's Sh30,000, he can use it to plan his things,” he added.

Obinna also urged Stevo's previous manager to explain to Kenyans how Simple Boy's money was spent when he used to perform on stage.

In an interview with author Samuel Maina, the group said that the Kibera-based rapper and MIB have entered a 35-day transition period. According to MIB, the members' two-day meeting catalysed the decision to end the contract.

The whole team has sat down and decided that we should pull out of the contract, a MIB spokesperson said, "following the unjust and unlawful allegations, and a lot of lies that have been put through that have destroyed the company's reputation."

The management claimed that after Grace Atieno, the wife of Stevo Simple Boy, made serious accusations against the business, team members started discussing their options over the weekend.
