After seven years of marriage, Sofa Vergara and her husband, Joe Manganiello, have separated and are divorcing.
"We have made the difficult decision to divorce," the pair said. As two people who adore and care for one another, we respectfully request that our privacy be respected at this transitional period in our lives."
The "Modern Family" star is in Italy celebrating her 51st birthday with a group of pals - but without Manganiello or her wedding ring.
The couple was last seen together in Hoboken, New Jersey, last month, when Vergara paid a visit to Manganiello, 46, on the set of his new film "Nonnas" starring Vince Vaughn.In November 2015, Vergara and Manganiello married in Palm Beach, Florida.
In an earlier interview with PEOPLE, Manganiello said he felt he made the right call when deciding to spend forever with Vergara.
"I knew pretty quickly that I could trust her, and she knew pretty quickly that she could trust me," he said of their relationship ahead of their fifth anniversary. "And we're both the kind of people who are capable of putting the other person ahead of ourselves. I was capable of putting her wishes ahead of mine, whatever they were, and she was capable of doing the same. Once you have that, you don't let go of it." he said
in other celebrity news, pop star Ariana Grande and her husband, Dalton Gomez, are calling it quits after two years of marriage.
Multiple publications confirm that Ariana and Dalton had broken up after months of not being pictured together. The couple was last seen together in London in January during her Wicked production schedule.
Ariana is currently in the United Kingdom filming. On July 16, she was pictured sans her wedding band while attending the Wimbledon 2023 tennis championships with her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey and actor Andrew Garfield.
