On Saturday night, seasoned movie star Frida Kajala Masanja hosted a sizable celebration for her birthday. The mother of one daughter celebrated her 40th birthday with family, friends, and other bongo artists among the attendees.
One of the attendees was singer Omary Mwanga, aka Marioo, dating Kajala's 21-year-old daughter Paula Paul. The 'Mi Amor' hitmaker took the opportunity to express his affection for his mother-in-law and to thank her for granting him custody of her daughter.
“Upendo ambao naupata kutoka kwa mama mkwe ni mkubwa sana. Tushaongea vitu vingi mimi na mama yangu, tumeshapanga vitu vingi sana. Mimi niseme tu nampenda sana na Mungu amfanyie upesi mambo yazidi kuwa mazuri," Marioo said in front of the guests who had gathered for the party.
Adding, “Nafurahi kwamba kanikabidhi mtoto, sio rasmi lakini. Nimefurahi, nashukuru nampenda sana mama yangu. Mungu akubariki.”

After finishing his speech, Marioo reached for a bag of cash that he would give to the ex-girlfriend of the Kondegang chief Harmonize, as a birthday gift.
Kajala discussed her positive relationship with her son-in-law Marioo before she was given the money. She identified the performer as her son, saying they have big ambitions together.
“Omari ni kijana wangu. Tuko poa sana, tunaingiana vizuri mno. Tunaongea vitu vingi sana, ata asiponipa mimi chochote hapa, niko poa kwa sababu kuna vitu vingi sana tunafanya nyuma ya pazia nyinyi hata hamjui. Uwepo wake hapa ni mkubwa mnachotaka atoe kwenye sahani. Shukran kwa kuja,” Kajala alisema.

After receiving compliments, Marioo continued to lavish an unspecified sum of money on his girlfriend's mother. Marioo and Paula had been dating for months and disclosed their relationship early this year.
Just a few days after her ex-boyfriend Rayvanny acknowledged the rekindling of his romance with his baby mama Fahyma or Fayvanny, Paula introduced Marioo as her new boyfriend. This was roughly three months ago.
