In the United States, media personality Larry Madowo rubs shoulders with the rich and famous. He was recently seen with American-based African hip-hop sensation French Montana.
" I caught up with @frenchmontana at his home in LA. The Moroccan-born hip-hop star told me he’s proud to have “paved the way for Africa” and is coming back to the continent to find talent. What’s your favourite French hit?" Larry posted on Instagram.
When he left a local television station and decided to venture abroad, his 35-year-old career skyrocketed. Larry began his career at the international channel BBC before joining CNN and relocating to the United States.
One interesting detail about Larry Madowo is that he dropped out of college while pursuing his bachelor's degree and obtaining a job at KTN. After becoming a household name, he returned to Daystar University to finish his degree. Larry earned his master's degree in journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.
French Montana is one of the most celebrated African artists. His family relocated to America from Morocco in the middle of the 1990s.
