Self-proclaimed president of comedy in Africa turn human rights activist Eric Omondi reveals that he has raised over ksh 755k for the family of a teenager shot during protests.
According to the boy's mother, he was shot nine times by the police during the anti-government protest. Eric was in the hospital visiting other victims when he encountered the boy.
" I saw and spoke to 18 Victims who were shot last week but one young Man Stood out. His name is Fidel Castro, he is a 17 year Old Form 4 Student from Bishop Abiero Secondary School. He was shot 8 times and Survived. He almost died, but God gave him another chance. We are going to Rally together and Raise Money for him and Change HIS LIFE COMPLETELY."

After that encounter, Eric took the initiative to start a campaign to help secure funds to help pay for the boy's hospital expenses and to help pay for his school fees because his mother was having a hard time providing for the family.
