Sensational singer Akothee has revealed that she is only a role model to her five children and that they are the source of her inspiration.
The singer took to her Instagram page to say that there were times when she thought God had forgotten her.
"My children was and still is my source of inspiration,My children bills are my Alarms, they wake me up automatically ❗ There are times in life I thought GOD HAS FORGOTTEN ME ,when my Ex was doing well & getting married", said Akothee
The singer had earlier been denied access to talk to girls at Ng'iya Girls due to claims of her not being a good role model for the girls.

"I met you in Sinyolo Girls and you stole my heart with your kindness, you made my work of admitting the less fortunate easy, even though I was late. Thank you very much for helping me support the vulnerable, you saw it fit to help you walk the journey of the underprivileged, but there is a way the universe works for us. Ngiya Girls High school is now on the map, known globally, even those who didn't know Ngiya Girls, now they know. I really appreciate the love and faith you have for me. I will still support any course that will leave a positive impact to our society," Akothee said.
Mrs Hellen Juma, the school's principal, had invited Akothee to speak to the girls and inspire them as they pursue education, only for the church that owns the institution to object and cancel the visit.
The news spread quickly on social media, and Kenyans spent most of Sunday debating Akothee, with differing perspectives coming from all directions.
While some felt Akothee should have been allowed to address the girls, others praised the decision to bar her, claiming she does not represent the ideal model of a lady who has worked her way up the success ladder.
