Radio host and comedian Obinna believes that building a house in the village is sometimes a waste of money.
In an interview with SPM Buzz, Obinna stated that most city dwellers do not spend time in the houses they have built in their villages, resulting in resource waste that could have been put to better use.

Obinna believes it is time for people to start thinking about building residences they can live in daily.
"I'am one of the comedians who build a house in the village early enough. But I rarely spend my time there. When I go home I spend in a hotel in Kisumu, and just pass by to see if the compound has been well maintained. The most I spend in my house is one week when I go upcountry with my children," Obinna said.
In response to fellow comedian Mulamwa's continuing village house project, Obinna stated that it's not bad if one has extra dollars to spare because parents are always proud when you build a house in the village.
Mulamwah is building a massive house in his hometown and claims to have spent at least KSh10 million.
