The highly anticipated Kenyan edition of the Nyege Nyege festival has been rescheduled to November. The event organizers cited circumstances beyond their control as the reason for the postponement.

"After an extensive evaluation of the prevailing circumstances, we've determined that it is in the best interest of all parties to reschedule the event to Friday 3rd November to Sunday 5th November, 2023," the statement read in part.
The organizers have extended their apologies to fans and all stakeholders for any inconvenience caused. They have assured everyone that they are committed to delivering an exceptional festival experience in November.

"All tickets and reservations purchased for the original dates will be valid for the rescheduled dates. We understand that this change may cause inconveniences to some of our participants and supporters, and we sincerely apologize for any disruption this may cause."
Since its inception in 2013, the Nyege Nyege festival has achieved tremendous success in Uganda. The festival was founded by music producers and DJs, Arlen Dilsizian and Derek Debru.

The Kenyan edition has faced criticism for being perceived as imitating Uganda's successful event. The delay raises concerns about Kenya's reputation in event promotion. The Shoke Shoke festival, which was set to showcase Ruger, had to be canceled. Additionally, Shenseea, who was scheduled to perform in Kenya, also disclosed that her event had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
