Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang'o, MP for Lang'ata, has stated that he will remain a member of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) until he receives communication from its owner.
Jalang'o told Radio 47 that he had received no communication regarding the removal from party leader Raila Odinga.
He insisted on remaining a member of the National Assembly for the Lang'ata Constituency until the 2027 general election.
"Chama ni ya Raila Amollo Odinga na kama sijapata habari kutoka kwa Raila mimi ni mwana ODM... Mbunge wa Lang'ata hadi 2027 ni mimi Phelix Odiwuor Jalang'o. Nataka uchukue hii habari ninakuambia upeleke benki wakukope pesa kwa sababu ndio ukweli. Hakuna mabadiliko yoyote," Jalang'o said.

The MP's remarks came after the ODM party's National Executive Council announced on Wednesday that he, along with four other renegade MPs, had been expelled.
Elisha Ochieng' Odhiambo (Gem), Caroli Omondi (Suba South), Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), and Tom Ojienda (Kisumu County Senator) were among them.
They were ousted at a NEC meeting called by Raila Odinga.
It happened about a month after the rebel members testified before the Sihanya-led committee to defend themselves against allegations of egregious misbehavior.
