Nelly Oaks addressed allegations that he mistreated his employees and neglected to pay them at a nightclub connected to him in Karen. On Thursday evening, a well-liked Instagram gossip account stated that staff at the recently opened 727 eatery had accused the cool-headed entrepreneur and internet celebrity of inappropriate conduct and unjust treatment.
The outlet wrote, "Former boyfriend of Akothee, Nelly Oaks, has been exposed by his employees at his 727 restaurant and bar for poor management, mistreatment of staff, and not paying them their salaries."
Nelly Oaks, though, vehemently refuted the accusations in a statement. He made it clear that he wasn't the real proprietor of the described business and that he had cut all ties with it at least three weeks prior.
He stated, "I have no formal association with 727 Bar and Restaurants or its previous owners. I joined as a marketing consultant when the investment opportunity was presented. However, the place did not meet my brand standards, and I have no contractual obligations to the employees there."
Nelly's statement made clear that he hadn't dealt with any of the establishment's staff personally and that he only learned of a recent break-in after he had left the company.

He added, "I did not conduct any interviews. I distance myself from formal management or misconduct. What I can confirm is that there is a reported break-in incident from last week, which happened after I ended my involvement."
In a subsequent conversation with this writer, Nelly reiterated that he had no ongoing agreements with the establishment and explained that, after careful consideration, he had decided not to pursue the partnership.
"The misunderstanding is that I am the owner of the place, which I am not. I don't even personally know any of the disgruntled employees. The management of the place approached me to be a partner, but I declined the offer after thinking it over. In fact, I haven't been associated with the premises for almost a month now," he clarified.
Nelly, a successful entrepreneur, oversees a number of companies in Nairobi and Mombasa. He was recently one of the major visitors at the opening of Akothee's daughter's club in a posh part of Nairobi.
